How to Get Marauder
Marauder uses both sides of the alignment system. Bring 15 Sins, 15 Offerings and 1,000 silver, then complete the trainer’s three-minute run from Iron Keep to Echo Hold without teleporting.
Marauder requirements
15 Sins + 15 Offerings → speak to the trainer in Iron Keep → reach Echo Hold on foot within 3:00 → return after the quest updates → pay 1,000 silver. Teleporting is useful for the return, not the timed outbound run.
The timer begins from the trainer conversation. A wrong turn costs more than a small gear upgrade, and the class cannot be completed until the alignment, trial and silver checks are all satisfied.
Marauder Requirements and Echo Hold Route
A recorded Marauder unlock covering alignment items, the trainer, the three-minute Echo Hold trial, the payment and the launch-build skills.
Unlock route
- Collect 15 Sins, 15 Offerings and 1,000 silver. Two independent September 6 recordings show the same mixed-alignment requirement and final payment. Do not spend either alignment currency on another trainer while preparing this route.
- Find the trainer in Iron Keep. Use the Iron Keep waypoint, enter the inn-like building and go to the upper floor where the trainer waits by the cell area. Community labels alternate between “Iron Keep” and “Ironhold”; the waypoint and building shown in the video are the useful landmarks.
- Preview the Echo Hold route. Watch the timed section once before accepting. Set a daylight attempt, begin with full stamina and remove unnecessary detours. Movement equipment helps, but the recorded dialogue tests the route rather than naming a required item.
- Reach Echo Hold on foot within three minutes. Start the trainer’s clock and run the route without using a teleport. The quest is strict enough that the recorded players needed repeated attempts; follow the terrain shown in the video instead of trying to read directions mid-run.
- Return after the objective updates. Once Echo Hold registers and the class quest changes, the timed part is over. The recorded route uses a waypoint to return to Iron Keep; the no-teleport rule applies to reaching Echo Hold under the clock.
- Pay 1,000 silver. Finish the trainer dialogue and make the payment to unlock Marauder. If the option does not appear, recheck all four gates: 15 Sins, 15 Offerings, a completed Echo Hold objective and enough silver.
Where to get both alignment resources
The same recorded guide shows a hidden route behind bookshelves in Weeping Crypt where Idols of Hatred and Stone Accords can appear. The creator uses those items as Sin and Offering sources, but chest availability and server hopping are community methods, not guaranteed rates. PvP and explorer outcomes are other reported alignment sources; use the method that does not jeopardize progress you cannot afford to lose. Marauder is the only class that needs both sides at once, so the Sin and Offering farming guide — and especially its one-for-one trade — matters more here than on any other route.
Why the timed run fails
- The timer started before you were ready. Close the route video and restore stamina before accepting.
- You attempted it at night. Daylight is not listed as a trainer requirement, but it reduces visibility and sanity complications on an unfamiliar route.
- You teleported outbound. The trainer dialogue explicitly frames the objective as an on-foot run.
- You reached the area but missed the trigger. Continue until the quest update appears before returning.
- You finished the run but cannot buy the class. The 1,000-silver payment happens after the timed objective.
What Marauder does
Marauder is a movement-first kit rather than a conventional damage class. Both showcases identify Surge Aura, Vanishing Gambit and Flash Step. The pure-class display in the recorded build adds speed and resistance, upgrades Vanishing Gambit with a stun and reduces the aura cooldown.
| Flash Step | Replaces the ordinary dash with a fast step for repositioning. |
|---|---|
| Vanishing Gambit | Closes distance to an opponent; the pure-class version is displayed with a stun. |
| Surge Aura | Recorded as +15% speed, +15% swing speed and +20% stamina regeneration during the effect. |
| Pure-class passive | Recorded as +8% speed, +10% resistance and a 30-second aura cooldown. |
The class is easiest to justify for chasing, escaping and short-range weapon pressure. It gives up the direct summon or damage identity of other classes, so decide whether mobility is the actual problem your build needs to solve. A hybrid loadout can borrow moves but loses the pure-class bonus shown above.
